Steve Tapper and Audie Bridges

are a flute and guitar duo from Boston, MA.

Their unique and expressive style draws from many different sources, yet maintains a strong identity. Tapper and Bridges have been performing together since 1986, and their repertoire includes distinctive, well-crafted original compositions as well as jazz, classical music, folk music, blues, popular music and various world music styles (Jewish music and Brazilian music are specialties.)

Steve plays flute, alto flute, bass flute, piccolo, eight-keyed flute, Renaissance flute, and recorders, while Audie plays classical guitar, steel-string guitar, twelve-string guitar, electric guitars, and laud. They have released two recordings ("Island Dance" and "Simple Gifts"), with a third, a collection of Jewish music entitled "Shalom Aleichem", scheduled to be released shortly.
